About this guide

What is Crowsnest.xyz?

Crowsnest.xyz is an independent, locally-run guide to Crows Nest on Sydney's Lower North Shore. We cover where to eat and drink, the best cafés and brunch spots, where to shop and find local services, and places to stay and explore — all hand-picked by people who actually live and eat here.

How do you choose which places to list?

Standard listings are free and editorial — a business can't pay to be called good. We list places that genuinely operate in Crows Nest and the surrounding Lower North Shore, ask trades and regulated services for the relevant NSW licence details, review listings regularly, and clearly mark anything sponsored or affiliate-linked as Featured.

Are you affiliated with the venues or North Sydney Council?

No. Crowsnest.xyz is independent and locally owned, with no affiliation to the businesses we list, to North Sydney Council, or to any government agency. Crows Nest sits within the North Sydney Council area, but we are not connected to the council.

Do you make money from links?

Crowsnest.xyz is free to use. We're funded by clearly-labelled affiliate links in our Stay & Explore section (we may earn a commission on some stays and tours at no extra cost to you) and optional sponsored listings, always marked Featured. Standard local listings are free and editorial, and a commission never changes our honest opinion. Full disclosure.

Visiting Crows Nest

How do I get to Crows Nest?

The new Crows Nest Metro station opened in 2024 right by Willoughby Road, and St Leonards station (train and Metro) is a short walk to the north end of the strip. Buses run frequently along the Pacific Highway and Willoughby Road, and it's about a 15-minute drive from the city over the Harbour Bridge.

Where should I park in Crows Nest?

There's metered street parking along and around Willoughby Road plus council car parks nearby, including under Crows Nest Plaza — busy on weekend nights and during the day, with time limits, so check the signs. With the Metro and frequent buses, leaving the car at home is often easier.

What's the best of Willoughby Road?

Willoughby Road is the heart of Crows Nest — a dense strip of restaurants, cafés and small bars. Long-standing favourites include the Crows Nest Hotel (the Crowie), Garfish for seafood, Sparrow for coffee, and Constant Reader Bookshop, with a cluster of intimate small bars tucked just off the main road. See the Eat & Drink guide and our Willoughby Road eats roundup.

How do I add or update a listing?

Use the Add a listing form — it's free for independent local businesses, and we review every submission before it goes live. To update or correct an existing listing, send us a note through the contact form and we'll fix it.
